Chocolate Covered Frozen strawberry truffles (recipe in English below) This chocolate covered frozen ice-cream strawberry is fresh, light and airy coated in dark chocolate for a tart and sweet decadent bite of a treat!

INGREDIENTI
  • 250 g of vanilla ice-cream
  • strawberries
  • fresh mint
  • 1 tablespoon of maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons of honey from mixed blossom
  • dark/milk chocolate
COME PROCEDERE
  1. Wash and dry the strawberries.
  2. Cut off their tops and then cut them in half.
  3. Combine the ice-cream, the strawberries, the honey, the maple syrup and some leaflets of fresh mint in the food processor.
  4. Blend quickly and pour the mixture into a rectangular tub.
  5. Freeze for at least 2 hours, better overnight.
  6. Line a small tin with baking paper.
  7. Take the ice-cream out of the freezer and, using a scoop, form some little balls. Cover them with aluminium foil and keep them in the freezer for at least 1 hour.
  8. Cook the chocolate over a double saucepan to melt it slowly and then allow it to cool down for some minutes.
  9. Take the truffles out of the freezer. Drop one truffle at a time into the melted chocolate and use two forks to roll it quickly around. Coat all sides and then transfer it back to the tin. Repeat until all the truffles are coated.
  10. Once they are all coated with the chocolate, throw them back in the freezer until it’s time to serve them.
